Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In October, 2 workshops were conducted with 19 participants attending. This year to date, 109 staff workshops have been run with a total of 1435 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 9,539 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In the month of October, eLearning advisers provided 53 appointments to help 21 course coordinators adopt eLearning technology in 21 courses. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2022 have catered for 308 Course Coordinators teaching into 378 courses which constitute approximately 10.96% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 49,724 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 578. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking/submission, Grade Centre and Online quiz/exam.

The number of jobs for October 2022 increased by 4.2% when compared to October 2021 yet decreased by 28.3% when compared to October 2020 yet increased by 22.1% when compared to September 2022.

Course Management jobs for October 2022 decreased by 21.6% when compared with October 2021 yet increased by 5.5% when compared with October 2020 and increased by 27.6% when compared with September 2022.

Tools & Other jobs for October 2022 increased by 16.4% when compared with October 2021 yet decreased by 36.2% when compared with October 2020 yet increased by 20.1% when compared with September 2022.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Tools & Other (72.15%) with Course Management (27.85%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During October 2022 there were seventeen (17) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Groups (1), Blackboard Tools (3), Exam related (7), Inspera (2), Kaltura (1), TurningPoint (1), Turnitin (2).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
