eLearning Workshops

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 41 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 298 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 5396 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Guide Updates

Throughout the year, updates to staff guides on the eLearning website and student guides on the Library website are requested by staff. This year to date, 41 new guides have been created, 86 exisiting guides have been updated and 4 guides have been removed based on requests. In total, 131 guides have been created, updated or removed, with 108 of those being staff guides and 23 being student guides.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2019 has catered for 138 Course Coordinators teaching into 214 courses and servicing a total of 22,937 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Grade Centre, Online marking / submission and ePortfolio WIL - Chalk & Wire respectively.

The number of jobs for June 2019 decreased by 19.6% when compared to June 2018 and decreased by 1.4% when compared to June 2017 yet increased by 5.3% when compared to May 2019.

Course Management jobs for June 2019 decreased by 18.4% when compared with June 2018 and decreased by 4.1% when compared with June 2017 yet increased by 11% when compared with May 2019.

Tools & Other jobs for June 2019 decreased by 22.1% when compared with June 2018 yet increased by 4.3% when compared with June 2017 yet decreased by 5.9% when compared with May 2019.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Course Management (67.18%) with Tools & Other (32.82%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were six Urgent jobs during June 2019. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
one of Blackboard Assignment Tool, one of Blackboard Grade Centre, two of Blackboard Tools, one of Course Request, one of Turnitin.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
