eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for January - May 2017 total 425 participants.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2017 has catered for 69 Course Coordinators teaching into 104 courses and servicing a total of 14 544 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are online marking/submission, group management, group peer assessment and ePortfolio respectively.

Change management

During Semester 1 the eLearning Systems and Support team and ITaLI have been giving joint presentations to all school Teaching and Learning committees. The presentation covered services available from the two groups for staff to enhance their teaching and implement the student strategy. To date presentations have been delivered to 18 schools and attended by a total of 250 staff. A further 2 presentations are currently booked.

The number of jobs for May 2017 decreased by 1.9% when compared to May 2016 yet increased by 22.5% when compared to May 2015 and increased by 35.6% when compared to April 2017.

Course Management jobs for May 2017 increased by 2.3% when compared with May 2016 and increased by 35% when compared with May 2015 and increased by 54.5% when compared with April 2017.

Tools & Other jobs for May 2017 decreased by 7.2% when compared with May 2016 yet increased by 5.1% when compared with May 2015 and increased by 9.4% when compared with April 2017.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Course Management (58.03%) with Tools & Other (41.97%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were fourteen Urgent jobs during May 2017. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Adaptive Release (1), Blackboard Wiki/Blog/Journal (1), Blackboard email (1), Blackboard Groups (1), Blackboard Tests (1), Blackboard Grade Centre (1), Turnitin (8).
All requests were responded to within an hour.
