eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for January - August 2016 total 580 participants.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2016 has catered for 118 Course Coordinators teaching into 134 courses and servicing a total of 24 474 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are online marking/submission, in-class active learning tools and online exam/ quiz respectively.

Change Management

During Semester 1 TLS presented an eLearning tool updates to the faculty Teaching and Learning committees. The presentations highlight the new functionality available in the Turnitin Feedback Studio, the updated Group Peer Assessment tool and the new quizzes feature in Kaltura, UQ's video server. In total TLS presented to six meetings attended by 95 staff.

The number of jobs for August 2016 increased by 8% when compared to August 2015 yet decreased by 9.9% when compared to August 2014 and decreased by 58.4% when compared to July 2016.

Course Management jobs for August 2016 increased by 56.8% when compared with August 2015 yet decreased by 5.1% when compared with August 2014 and decreased by 86.2% when compared with July 2016.

Tools & Other jobs for August 2016 decreased by 4.3% when compared with August 2015 and decreased by 11.1% when compared with August 2014 and decreased by 14.5% when compared with July 2016.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (79.61%) with Course Management (20.39%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were five Urgent jobs during the month of August 2016. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows: Bb Course Management (1), Bb Tools (2), Kaltura (1), Turnitin (1).

All requests were responded to within an hour.
