Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This month 4 staff workshops and 1 student workshop have been run with a total of 65 attendances. This year to date, 90 staff workshops have been run with a total of 901 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 8,051 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2021 has catered for 296 Course Coordinators teaching into 378 courses which constitutes approximately 10.96% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 52,995 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz / exam, Online marking / submission and Grade Centre.

The number of jobs for September 2021 decreased by 29.3% when compared to September 2020 yet increased by 32.8% when compared to September 2019 yet decreased by 10.8% when compared to August 2021.

Course Management jobs for September 2021 decreased by 62.9% when compared with September 2020 yet increased by 13.5% when compared with September 2019 and increased by 11.5% when compared with August 2021.

Tools & Other jobs for September 2021 decreased by 18.4% when compared with September 2020 yet increased by 35.6% when compared with September 2019 yet decreased by 13.5% when compared with August 2021.

The vast majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (87.1%) with Course Management (12.9%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During September 2021 there were seventeen (17) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Assignment Tool (1), Blackboard Grade Centre (2), Blackboard Tests (1), Blackboard Tools (4), Blackboard Usage (1), Kaltura (1), Survey (1), Turnitin (6).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
