eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for January - August 2016 total 580 participants.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2016 has catered for 132 Course Coordinators teaching into 149 courses and servicing a total of 26 647 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are online marking/submission, in-class active learning tools and online exam/ quiz respectively.

Change Management

During Semester 2 TLS and ITaLI are co-presenting to school meetings on eLearning services available at UQ. The presentations cover information on the Open course scheme, Peer observation scheme, the updated Turnitin online marking tool, Kaltura's video quiz feature, eLearning module creation software Office Mix and the Group Peer Assessment tool. To date presentations have been given to 13 school meetings attended by 419 staff.

The number of jobs for September 2016 decreased by 24.1% when compared to September 2015 yet increased by 10.6% when compared to September 2014 yet decreased by 14% when compared to August 2016.

Course Management jobs for September 2016 increased by 18.5% when compared with September 2015 and increased by 50.8% when compared with September 2014 yet decreased by 12.2% when compared with August 2016.

Tools & Other jobs for September 2016 decreased by 31% when compared with September 2015 is identical to those of September 2014 yet decreased by 14.5% when compared with August 2016.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (79.17%) with Course Management (20.83%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were six Urgent jobs during the month of September 2016. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows: Bb Assessment (1), Bb Course Management (1), Bb Grading (1), Echo 360 (1) and Turnitin (2).

All requests were responded to within an hour.
