Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 77 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 856 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 6,576 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2020 has catered for 134 Course Coordinators teaching into 153 courses and servicing a total of 24,222 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking / submission, Virtual Classroom - Zoom and Grade Centre respectively.

The number of jobs for March 2020 increased by 43.5% when compared to March 2019 and increased by 29.5% when compared to March 2018 yet decreased by 0.6% when compared to February 2020.

Course Management jobs for March 2020 increased by 21.6% when compared with March 2019 yet decreased by 40% when compared with March 2018 yet decreased by 73% when compared with February 2020.

Tools & Other jobs for March 2020 increased by 46.9% when compared with March 2019 and increased by 44.3% when compared with March 2018 and increased by 40.9% when compared with February 2020.

The vast majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (86.67%) with Course Management (13.33%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were nine Urgent jobs during March 2020. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
one of Blackboard Access, one of Blackboard Groups, one of Blackboard LTI, one of Blackboard Tests, three of Course Request, one of Kaltura, one of Zoom.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
