eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for January - September 2017 total 576 participants.

Change management

During Semester 2 the eLearning Systems and Support team and ITaLI are giving joint presentations to whole school meetings. The presentations cover Best practice online course site design, Active learning support and Grades management and security. To date a presentation has been delivered to 13 schools, attended by 353 staff and another 12 school presentations are currently booked.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2017 has catered for 130 Course Coordinators teaching into 182 courses and servicing a total of 28 713 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are online marking/submission, Online mini lectures, group management and ePortfolio respectively.

The number of jobs for September 2017 increased by 1.6% when compared to September 2016 yet decreased by 22.9% when compared to September 2015 yet decreased by 9.2% when compared to August 2017.

Course Management jobs for September 2017 decreased by 4.6% when compared with September 2016 yet increased by 14.5% when compared with September 2015 yet increased by 6.5% when compared with August 2017.

Tools & Other jobs for September 2017 increased by 3.1% when compared with September 2016 yet decreased by 28.8% when compared with September 2015 yet decreased by 12.4% when compared with August 2017.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (80.44%) with Course Management (19.56%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were five Urgent jobs during September 2017. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows. All requests were responded to within an hour.
