Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In April, one workshop was conducted with 41 participants attending. This year to date, 25 staff workshops have been run with a total of 431 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 11,831 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In April, eLearning advisers provided 45 appointments to help courses adopt eLearning technology. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2024 have catered for 149 Course Coordinators teaching into 174 courses which constitute approximately 4.8% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 21,691 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 234. The top three most common individual tools implemented are InsperaGrade Centre, and Turnitin.

The number of jobs for April 2024 increased by 18.8% when compared to April 2023 yet decreased by 12.8% when compared to April 2022 and decreased by 0.3% when compared to March 2024.

Course Management jobs for April 2024 increased by 41.5% when compared with April 2023 and increased by 13.7% when compared with April 2022 and increased by 62.8% when compared with March 2024.

Tools & Other jobs for April 2024 decreased by 1.4% when compared with April 2023 and decreased by 28.6% when compared with April 2022 and decreased by 36.1% when compared with March 2024.

The distribution of jobs were slightly in favour of Tools & Other (52.84%) with Course Management (47.16%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During April 2024 there were nineteen (19) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Assignment Tool (1), Blackboard Tests (1), Blackboard Usage (1), Buddycheck (1), Echo360 (1), EchoPoll (1), Exam related (1), H5P (1), Inspera (4), Learning Pathway (1), MKM (1), Turnitin (5).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
