eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for January - July 2017 total 506 participants.

Change management

During Semester 1 the eLearning Systems and Support team and ITaLI gave joint presentations to school Teaching and Learning committees. The presentation covered services available from the two groups for staff to enhance their teaching and implement the student strategy. Presentations were delivered to 20 schools and attended by a total of 257 staff.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2017 has catered for 93 Course Coordinators teaching into 166 courses and servicing a total of 27,167 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are online marking/submission, group management, group peer assessment and ePortfolio respectively.

The number of jobs for July 2017 increased by 8.4% when compared to July 2016 and increased by 1.8% when compared to July 2015 and increased by 17.6% when compared to June 2017.

Course Management jobs for July 2017 decreased by 2.8% when compared with July 2016 yet increased by 3.7% when compared with July 2015 yet decreased by 4.1% when compared with June 2017.

Tools & Other jobs for July 2017 increased by 21.9% when compared with July 2016 yet decreased by 0.5% when compared with July 2015 yet increased by 43.9% when compared with June 2017.

The distribution of jobs were slightly in favour of Course Management (54.56%) with Tools & Other (45.44%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were eleven Urgent jobs during July 2017. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows. Blackboard Assignment Tool (1), Blackboard Course Content (1), Blackboard Groups (1), Blackboard Population (1), Blackboard Grade Centre (1), Checkbox (2), Course Request (1), Echo360 (1), Responseware (1), Turnitin (1). All requests were responded to within an hour.
