Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In April, 2 workshops were conducted with 15 participants attending. This year to date, 52 staff workshops have been run with a total of 652 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 8,574 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

The eLearning Adviser Consultations is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2022 has catered for 140 Course Coordinators teaching into 180 courses which constitutes approximately 5.22% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 23,747 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equal to 234. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking / submission, Grade Centre and Online quiz / exam. For the month, 29 Course Coordinators were assisted with eLearning related consultations teaching into 25 courses with 4,435 student experiences across 53 appointments.

The number of jobs for April 2022 increased by 6.2% when compared to April 2021 yet decreased by 42.3% when compared to April 2020 and decreased by 11.3% when compared to March 2022.

Course Management jobs for April 2022 increased by 5.1% when compared with April 2021 yet decreased by 48.5% when compared with April 2020 and decreased by 7.1% when compared with March 2022.

Tools & Other jobs for April 2022 increased by 6.8% when compared with April 2021 yet decreased by 38.1% when compared with April 2020 and decreased by 13.5% when compared with March 2022.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Tools & Other (64.01%) with Course Management (35.99%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During April 2022 there were fifteen (15) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Active Learn Tools (4), Blackboard Grade Centre (1), Blackboard Tools (3), Echo360 (1), H5P (1), Exam related (2), Turnitin (3).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
