eLearning Workshops

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. 32 staff workshops have been run this year as of April, with 4 of those requiring waitlists and consequently 2 additional workshops were scheduled to meet the demand. Staff workshop attendances this year total 234 participants and total 5332 since 2012.

eLearning Guide Updates

Throughout the year, updates to staff guides on the eLearning website and student guides on the Library website are requested by staff. This year to date, 23 new guides have been created, 47 exisiting guides have been updated and 2 guides have been removed based on requests. In total, 72 guides have been created, updated or removed, with 61 of those being staff guides and 11 being student guides.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2019 has catered for 111 Course Coordinators teaching into 155 courses and servicing a total of 19,255 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Grade Centre, Online marking / submission and ePortfolio WIL - Chalk & Wire respectively.

The number of jobs for April 2019 decreased by 7% when compared to April 2018 and decreased by 19.3% when compared to April 2017 and decreased by 26.6% when compared to March 2019.

Course Management jobs for April 2019 increased by 24.6% when compared with April 2018 yet decreased by 26.7% when compared with April 2017 yet increased by 32.2% when compared with March 2019.

Tools & Other jobs for April 2019 decreased by 21% when compared with April 2018 and decreased by 14.2% when compared with April 2017 and decreased by 43.5% when compared with March 2019.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Tools & Other (62.78%) with Course Management (37.22%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were twelve Urgent jobs during April 2019. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
two of Blackboard Assignment Tool, one of Blackboard Grade Centre, one of Blackboard Population, two of Blackboard Tests, three of Blackboard Tools, two of ePortfolio, one of Turnitin.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
