Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In July, 17 workshops were conducted with 168 participants attending. This year to date, 82 staff workshops have been run with a total of 1242 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 10,961 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In the month of July, eLearning advisers provided 66 appointments to help courses adopt eLearning technology. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2023 have catered for 234 Course Coordinators teaching into 269 courses which constitute approximately 7.6% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 34,123 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 242. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz/exam (Inspera), Grade Centre, and Online marking/submission (Turnitin).

The number of jobs for July 2023 decreased by 49.1% when compared to July 2022 and decreased by 54.4% when compared to July 2021 and decreased by 21.4% when compared to June 2023.

Course Management jobs for July 2023 decreased by 61.4% when compared with July 2022 and decreased by 61.7% when compared with July 2021 and decreased by 38.9% when compared with June 2023.

Tools & Other jobs for July 2023 decreased by 23.2% when compared with July 2022 and decreased by 43% when compared with July 2021 yet increased by 11.4% when compared with June 2023.

The distribution of jobs were similarly divided amongst Course Management (51.49%) with Tools & Other (48.51%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During July 2023 there were twenty one (21) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Assignment Tool (2), Blackboard Course Content (2), Blackboard Population (2), Discussion Board/Wiki/Blog/Journal (4), ePortfolio (1), Inspera (1), open edX (2), UQ Extend (7).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
