eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for October 2017 total 630 participants.

Change management

During Semester 2 the eLearning Systems and Support team and ITaLI are giving joint presentations to whole school meetings. The presentations cover Best practice online course site design, Active learning support and Grades management and security. To date a presentation has been delivered to 23 schools, attended by 606 staff and another 3 school presentations are currently booked.

eLearning Solutions Service

Due to resource constraints, the eLearning Solutions Service is currently not available. This service offers one-on-one consultations on the integration of eLearning into courses.

As at 5 September 2017, we had 130 Clients encompassing 182 Courses with an effect on 28713 student experiences. The most popular tools were Online submission/marking, Online mini lectures, Group Management and ePortfolio.

The number of jobs for October 2017 increased by 14.7% when compared to October 2016 and increased by 28.4% when compared to October 2015 and increased by 32.3% when compared to September 2017.

Course Management jobs for October 2017 increased by 13.4% when compared with October 2016 and increased by 42.8% when compared with October 2015 and increased by 68% when compared with September 2017.

Tools & Other jobs for October 2017 increased by 15.7% when compared with October 2016 and increased by 18.2% when compared with October 2015 and increased by 6.9% when compared with September 2017.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Tools & Other (58.55%) with Course Management (41.45%) .

RESPONSE TO INCIDENTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were nine Urgent jobs during October 2017. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Assignment Tool (1), Blackboard Population (1), Blackboard Tests (1), Echo360 (2), Turnitin (4).

All requests were responded to within an hour.
