The eLearning Support team assist professional and academic staff with supported elearning systems, troubleshooting problems and assisting with setting up their sites. As part of the eLearning team they also help test upgrades and review new services.

UQ eLearning Advisers

The eLearning Advisers provide professional development for staff through a combination of personal consultations, virtual and self-paced online workshops covering centrally supported eLearning technologies and a range of online instructional guides.

Professional development is provided in collaboration with school and faculty Learning Designers who focus on local needs, and the ITaLI team who focuses on pedagogical support.

eLearning Systems and Support: Team management

In his role as the eLearning team Manager, Dr Simon Collyer is responsible for the University's central eLearning systems and support services. Simon also chairs the eLearning Operational Forum (ELOF) which facilitates collaboration between the various support groups and the faculties. ELOF reports to the Teaching and Learning Committee.

Learning Management System: administration and development

ITS staff perform all the major upgrades that deliver most of UQ's new functionality and develop building blocks and add-ins that enhance the way it works. They investigate issues escalated from eLearning Support, liaise with vendors. These system administrators are contactable through: help@elearning.uq.edu.au
