eLearning Workshops

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 64 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 474 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 5572 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2019 has catered for 186 Course Coordinators teaching into 275 courses and servicing a total of 32,175 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Grade Centre, Online marking / submission and ePortfolio WIL - Chalk & Wire respectively.

The number of jobs for August 2019 decreased by 3.4% when compared to August 2018 yet increased by 22.3% when compared to August 2017 yet decreased by 55.5% when compared to July 2019.

Course Management jobs for August 2019 increased by 28.1% when compared with August 2018 and increased by 57% when compared with August 2017 yet decreased by 75.7% when compared with July 2019.

Tools & Other jobs for August 2019 decreased by 14.7% when compared with August 2018 yet increased by 7.3% when compared with August 2017 yet decreased by 31% when compared with July 2019.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Tools & Other (69.93%) with Course Management (30.07%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were ten Urgent jobs during August 2019. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
one of Blackboard Access, one of Blackboard Course Content, one of Blackboard Grade Centre, three of Blackboard Tools, one of Blackboard Wiki/Blog/Journal, two of Echo360, one of Turnitin.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
