Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This month 4 staff workshops have been run with a total of 47 attendances. This year to date, 136 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 1,308 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 7,028 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2020 has catered for 403 Course Coordinators teaching into 526 courses which constitutes approximately 15.25% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 67,771 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz / exam, Online marking / submission and Virtual Classroom - Zoom.

The number of jobs for October 2020 increased by 36.7% when compared to October 2019 and increased by 35% when compared to October 2018 and increased by 9.4% when compared to September 2020.

Course Management jobs for October 2020 decreased by 37.2% when compared with October 2019 and decreased by 15% when compared with October 2018 and decreased by 22.9% when compared with September 2020.

Tools & Other jobs for October 2020 increased by 56.6% when compared with October 2019 and increased by 45.9% when compared with October 2018 and increased by 17.5% when compared with September 2020. Included in this months Tools are requests related to Exams of which there (153) non urgent [Action Required] requests - relating to Course Access/Removal of Access, to Checking of the Exam Course template.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (82.83%) with Course Management (17.17%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were twenty one Urgent jobs during October 2020. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
