Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In February,  20 workshops were conducted with 571 participants attending. This year to date, 29 staff workshops have been run with a total of 624 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 10364 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In the month of February, eLearning advisers provided 59 appointments to help course coordinators adopt eLearning technology. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2023 have catered for 66 Course Coordinators teaching into 76 courses which constitute approximately 2.2% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 10810 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 90. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking/submission, Grade Centre and Online quiz/exam.

The number of jobs for February 2023 decreased by 33.1% when compared to February 2022 and decreased by 41.5% when compared to February 2021 yet increased by 13.1% when compared to January 2023.

Course Management jobs for February 2023 decreased by 52.3% when compared with February 2022 and decreased by 59.9% when compared with February 2021 and decreased by 15.8% when compared with January 2023.

Tools & Other jobs for February 2023 decreased by 5% when compared with February 2022 and decreased by 12.1% when compared with February 2021 yet increased by 36.5% when compared with January 2023.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Tools & Other (57.68%) with Course Management (42.32%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During February 2023 there were seventeen (17) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Active Learn Tools (1), Blackboard Groups (1), Blackboard Population (2), Blackboard Tests (2), Blackboard Tools (1), ECP (2), Echo360 (1), open edX (6), Turnitin (1).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
