Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 123 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 1,150 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 6,870 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2020 has catered for 329 Course Coordinators teaching into 406 courses and servicing a total of 53,729 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz / exam, Virtual Classroom - Zoom and Online marking / submission.

The number of jobs for August 2020 increased by 27.2% when compared to August 2019 and increased by 24.6% when compared to August 2018 yet decreased by 65.5% when compared to July 2020.

Course Management jobs for August 2020 decreased by 6.6% when compared with August 2019 yet increased by 23.6% when compared with August 2018 yet decreased by 89.9% when compared with July 2020.

Tools & Other jobs for August 2020 increased by 36.1% when compared with August 2019 and increased by 24.9% when compared with August 2018 yet decreased by 7.2% when compared with July 2020.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (79.42%) with Course Management (20.58%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were fifteen Urgent jobs during August 2020. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
one of Blackboard Course Content, three of Blackboard Groups, one of Blackboard Population, five of Blackboard Tests, one of Blackboard Wiki/Blog/Journal, one of Blackboard email, two of Kaltura, one of Zoom.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
