eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for October 2018 total 343 participants.

Change management

During Semester 2 the eLearning Systems and Support team and ITaLI are giving joint presentations to whole school meetings. The presentations cover best practice online course site design, active learning support, grades management and grades security. To date, presentations have been delivered to 13 schools and attended by a total of 386 staff. Additional presentations are booked until December.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2018 has catered for 17 Course Coordinators teaching into 21 courses and servicing a total of 3036 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are active learning tools, online quiz/tests and online marking/submission respectively.

The number of jobs for October 2018 decreased by 12.6% when compared to October 2017 yet increased by 2.4% when compared to October 2016 yet increased by 25.4% when compared to September 2018.

Course Management jobs for October 2018 decreased by 34.5% when compared with October 2017 and decreased by 24.4% when compared with October 2016 yet increased by 75.6% when compared with September 2018.

Tools & Other jobs for October 2018 increased by 2.8% when compared with October 2017 and increased by 18.1% when compared with October 2016 and increased by 2.8% when compared with September 2018.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Tools & Other (68.95%) with Course Management (31.05%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were fourteen Urgent jobs during October 2018. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Grade Centre (3), Blackboard Tests (1), Blackboard Tools (3), Checkbox (1), Turnitin (6).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
