Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In July, 28 workshops were conducted with 368 participants attending. This year to date, 100 staff workshops have been run with a total of 1220 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 9,251 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

The eLearning Adviser Consultations is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2022 has catered for 233 Course Coordinators teaching into 287 courses which constitutes approximately 8.32% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 38,024 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equal to 422. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking / submission, Grade Centre and Online quiz / exam. For the month of July, 40 new Course Coordinators were assisted with eLearning related consultations teaching into 36 courses with 4,863 student experiences across 69 appointments.

The number of jobs for July 2022 decreased by 11.2% when compared to July 2021 and decreased by 24.4% when compared to July 2020 yet increased by 37.7% when compared to June 2022.

Course Management jobs for July 2022 decreased by 0.4% when compared with July 2021 and decreased by 26.4% when compared with July 2020 yet increased by 42.1% when compared with June 2022.

Tools & Other jobs for July 2022 decreased by 28.4% when compared with July 2021 and decreased by 19.3% when compared with July 2020 yet increased by 27.7% when compared with June 2022.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Course Management (69.05%) with Tools & Other (30.95%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During July 2022 there were seven (7) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Access (4), Blackboard Grade Centre (1), Blackboard Population (1), Exam related (1).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
