Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. November was a busy workshop month with 9 workshops conducted and 56 participants attending.  This year to date, 97 staff workshops have been run with a total of 926 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 8,076 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2021 has catered for 340 Course Coordinators teaching into 442 courses which constitutes approximately 12.81% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 59,709 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz / exam, Online marking / submission and Grade Centre.

The number of jobs for November 2021 decreased by 4.5% when compared to November 2020 yet increased by 27.7% when compared to November 2019 and increased by 38.8% when compared to October 2021.

Course Management jobs for November 2021 increased by 10.9% when compared with November 2020 and increased by 19.6% when compared with November 2019 and increased by 57.8% when compared with October 2021.

Tools & Other jobs for November 2021 decreased by 17.6% when compared with November 2020 yet increased by 36.3% when compared with November 2019 and increased by 18.7% when compared with October 2021.

The distribution of jobs were similarly divided amongst Course Management (51.4%) with Tools & Other (48.6%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During November 2021 there were twenty two (22) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Grade Centre (3), Blackboard Tools (1), Echo360 (1), Exam related twelve (12), Turnitin (5).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
