Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In January, 12 workshops were conducted with 97 participants attending.  Since 2012, there has been a total of 8,203 staff workshop attendances. 

In February, 22 workshops are scheduled with a projected number of attendances of 150.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2022 has catered for 19 Course Coordinators teaching into 18 courses which constitutes approximately 0.52% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 2,526 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equal to 25. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking / submission, Grade Centre and eLearning refresher.

The number of jobs for January 2022 increased by 6.8% when compared to January 2021 and increased by 29.2% when compared to January 2020 and increased by 52.1% when compared to December 2021.

Course Management jobs for January 2022 increased by 6.2% when compared with January 2021 and increased by 26.6% when compared with January 2020 and increased by 54% when compared with December 2021.

Tools & Other jobs for January 2022 increased by 8.6% when compared with January 2021 and increased by 36.7% when compared with January 2020 and increased by 46.8% when compared with December 2021.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Course Management (73.9%) with Tools & Other (26.1%).

Of Note: from January 2022 there has been a slight reclassification to the Course Management category. This has slightly reduced the Tools and other related jobs and increased the Course Management jobs leaving the Total jobs the same. The Graphs and data from 2022 onwards will display the updated data results and backdated for appropriate relationships between months and years.

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During January 2022 there were ten (10) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Active Learn Tools (1), Adaptive Release (3), Blackboard Population (1), Course Request (3), ePortfolio (1), LearnX (1).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
