Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In February alone, a record number of 23 workshops were conducted with 231 participants attending. The attendance number exceeded projections of 150 participants in February by 54%.  This year to date, 37 staff workshops have been run with a total of 384 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 8,433 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2022 has catered for 75 Course Coordinators teaching into 106 courses which constitutes approximately 3.07% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 12,383 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equal to 109. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking / submission, Grade Centre and Online quiz / exam.

The number of jobs for February 2022 decreased by 13.6% when compared to February 2021 yet increased by 35.4% when compared to February 2020 and increased by 12.8% when compared to January 2022.

Course Management jobs for February 2022 decreased by 16.5% when compared with February 2021 yet increased by 40.6% when compared with February 2020 yet decreased by 7.5% when compared with January 2022.

Tools & Other jobs for February 2022 decreased by 9% when compared with February 2021 yet increased by 27.6% when compared with February 2020 and increased by 43.7% when compared with January 2022.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Course Management (59.59%) with Tools & Other (40.41%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During February 2022 there were thirteen (13) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard LTI (6), Course Request (2), Discussion Board/Wiki/Blog/Journal (1), UQ Extend (2), Turnitin (2).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
