Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In January, 3 workshops were conducted with 16 participants attending. This year to date, staff workshops have been run with a total of 16 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 11,414 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In the month of January, eLearning advisers provided 37 appointments to help courses adopt eLearning technology. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2024 have catered for 30 Course Coordinators teaching into 41 courses which constitute approximately 1.1% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 4,767 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 37. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Learn.UQGrade Centre, and Online quiz/exam (Inspera).

The number of jobs for January 2024 increased by 0.3% when compared to January 2023 yet decreased by 30.5% when compared to January 2022 yet increased by 20.4% when compared to December 2023.

Course Management jobs for January 2024 increased by 10.4% when compared with January 2023 yet decreased by 30% when compared with January 2022 yet increased by 17% when compared with December 2023.

Tools & Other jobs for January 2024 decreased by 22.6% when compared with January 2023 and decreased by 31.7% when compared with January 2022 yet increased by 30.3% when compared with December 2023.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Course Management (74.34%) with Tools & Other (25.66%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During January 2024 there were four (4) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Course Content (2), Turnitin (1), UQ Extend (1).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
