Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In June, 7 workshops were conducted with 82 participants attending. This year to date, 65 staff workshops have been run with a total of 1074 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 10,793 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In the month of June, eLearning advisers provided 40 appointments to help courses adopt eLearning technology. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2023 have catered for 186 Course Coordinators teaching into 213 courses which constitute approximately 6.0% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 27,384 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 277. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz/exam (Inspera), Online marking/submission (Turnitin) and Grade Centre.

The number of jobs for June 2023 increased by 3.8% when compared to June 2022 yet decreased by 11.4% when compared to June 2021 and decreased by 12.4% when compared to May 2023.

Course Management jobs for June 2023 increased by 8.4% when compared with June 2022 yet decreased by 8.1% when compared with June 2021 and decreased by 15.8% when compared with May 2023.

Tools & Other jobs for June 2023 decreased by 5% when compared with June 2022 and decreased by 17.3% when compared with June 2021 and decreased by 4.7% when compared with May 2023.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Course Management (66.22%) with Tools & Other (33.78%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During June 2023 there were twenty (20) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Assignment Tool (2), Blackboard Grade Centre (5), Blackboard Groups (1), Course Request (1), Exam related (8), Inspera (3).

All but one Urgent request were responded to within an hour.
