Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This month 9 staff workshops have been run with a total of 47 attendances. This year to date, 156 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 1,430 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 7,150 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2020 has catered for 437 Course Coordinators teaching into 573 courses which constitutes approximately 16.61% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 72,350 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz / exam, Online marking / submission and Virtual Classroom - Zoom.

The number of jobs for December 2020 increased by 23.6% when compared to December 2019 and increased by 24.3% when compared to December 2018 yet decreased by 1.5% when compared to November 2020.

Course Management jobs for December 2020 increased by 18.6% when compared with December 2019 and increased by 30.1% when compared with December 2018 and increased by 42.5% when compared with November 2020.

Tools & Other jobs for December 2020 increased by 40.5% when compared with December 2019 and increased by 4.8% when compared with December 2018 yet decreased by 60.1% when compared with November 2020.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Course Management (77.2%) with Tools & Other (22.8%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were five Urgent jobs during December 2020. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
