eLearning Workshops

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 68 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 498 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 5,596 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2019 has catered for 208 Course Coordinators teaching into 297 courses and servicing a total of 35,821 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Grade Centre, Online marking / submission and ePortfolio WIL - Chalk & Wire respectively.

The number of jobs for October 2019 decreased by 20.3% when compared to October 2018 and decreased by 30.3% when compared to October 2017 yet increased by 16.3% when compared to September 2019.

Course Management jobs for October 2019 increased by 13.6% when compared with October 2018 yet decreased by 24.2% when compared with October 2017 yet increased by 70.1% when compared with September 2019.

Tools & Other jobs for October 2019 decreased by 36.5% when compared with October 2018 and decreased by 34.7% when compared with October 2017 and decreased by 21.8% when compared with September 2019.

The distribution of jobs were slightly in favour of Tools & Other (54.91%) with Course Management (45.09%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were ten Urgent jobs during October 2019. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
one of Blackboard Access, two of Blackboard Tools, one of ePortfolio, six of Turnitin.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
