Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In December, 7 workshops were conducted with 60 participants attending. This year to date, 117 staff workshops have been run with a total of 1679 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 11,398 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In the month of December, eLearning advisers provided 18 appointments to help courses adopt eLearning technology. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2023 have catered for 359 Course Coordinators teaching into 400 courses which constitute approximately 11.6% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 52,368 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 580. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz/exam (Inspera), Grade Centre, and Online marking/submission (Turnitin).

The number of jobs for December 2023 decreased by 8.3% when compared to December 2022 yet increased by 13.4% when compared to December 2021 yet decreased by 12.8% when compared to November 2023.

Course Management jobs for December 2023 decreased by 3.2% when compared with December 2022 yet increased by 21.9% when compared with December 2021 and increased by 16.6% when compared with November 2023.

Tools & Other jobs for December 2023 decreased by 23.3% when compared with December 2022 and decreased by 15.3% when compared with December 2021 and decreased by 56.6% when compared with November 2023.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Course Management (78.75%) with Tools & Other (21.25%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During December 2023 there were four (4) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
