Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In November, 13 workshops were conducted with 75 participants attending. This year to date, 139 staff workshops have been run with a total of 1552 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 9,656 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In the month of November, eLearning advisers provided 43 appointments to help 21 course coordinators adopt eLearning technology in 18 courses. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2022 have catered for 329 Course Coordinators teaching into 399 courses which constitute approximately 11.57% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 53,043 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 614. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking/submission, Grade Centre and Online quiz/exam.

The number of jobs for November 2022 increased by 14.1% when compared to November 2021 and increased by 10% when compared to November 2020 and increased by 45.1% when compared to October 2022.

Course Management jobs for November 2022 increased by 14.3% when compared with November 2021 and increased by 23.3% when compared with November 2020 and increased by 71.6% when compared with October 2022.

Tools & Other jobs for November 2022 increased by 13.8% when compared with November 2021 yet decreased by 5.2% when compared with November 2020 yet increased by 14.3% when compared with October 2022.

The distribution of jobs were slightly in favour of Course Management (53.79%) with Tools & Other (46.21%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During November 2022 there were twenty five (25) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Course Content (3), Blackboard Grade Centre (2), Blackboard LTI (1), Blackboard Population (2), Exam related (7), H5P (2), Kaltura (2), LearnX (1), Turnitin (5).

All Urgent requests except one were responded to within an hour.
