Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In August, 11 workshops were conducted with 156 participants attending. This year to date, 111 staff workshops have been run with a total of 1375 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 9,432 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In the month of August elearning advisers provided 58 appointments to help 29 course coordinators adopt elearning technology in 28 courses. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2022 has catered for 263 Course Coordinators teaching into 323 courses which constitutes approximately 9.36% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 42,568 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equal to 481. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking / submission, Grade Centre and Online quiz / exam.

The number of jobs for August 2022 decreased by 14.8% when compared to August 2021 and decreased by 37.6% when compared to August 2020 and decreased by 71.5% when compared to July 2022.

Course Management jobs for August 2022 increased by 48.6% when compared with August 2021 yet decreased by 21.6% when compared with August 2020 and decreased by 88.8% when compared with July 2022.

Tools & Other jobs for August 2022 decreased by 29.6% when compared with August 2021 and decreased by 42% when compared with August 2020 and decreased by 33% when compared with July 2022.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Tools & Other (72.73%) with Course Management (27.27%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During August 2022 there were three (3) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Tools (1), Inspera (1), Turnitin (1).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
