eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for November 2018 total 398 participants.

Change management

During Semester 2 the eLearning Systems and Support team and ITaLI are giving joint presentations to whole school meetings. The presentations cover best practice online course site design, active learning support, grades management and grades security. To date, presentations have been delivered to 19 schools and attended by a total of 570 staff. Additional presentations are booked until December.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2018 has catered for 32 Course Coordinators teaching into 64 courses and servicing a total of 6354 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are ePortfolio WIL - Chalk & Wire, online marking/submission, active learning tools respectively.

The number of jobs for November 2018 increased by 25.4% when compared to November 2017 and increased by 31.8% when compared to November 2016 and increased by 45.8% when compared to October 2018.

Course Management jobs for November 2018 increased by 32.4% when compared with November 2017 and increased by 29.7% when compared with November 2016 and increased by 71.2% when compared with October 2018.

Tools & Other jobs for November 2018 increased by 15.6% when compared with November 2017 and increased by 34.7% when compared with November 2016 and increased by 10.2% when compared with October 2018.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Course Management (58.41%) with Tools & Other (41.59%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were eight Urgent jobs during November 2018. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Grade Centre (2), Blackboard Population (2), Blackboard Usage (2), Turnitin (2).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
