eLearning Workshops

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 67 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 494 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 5592 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2019 has catered for 195 Course Coordinators teaching into 282 courses and servicing a total of 33,755 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Grade Centre, Online marking / submission and ePortfolio WIL - Chalk & Wire respectively.

The number of jobs for September 2019 decreased by 10.5% when compared to September 2018 and decreased by 13.9% when compared to September 2017 and decreased by 39.2% when compared to August 2019.

Course Management jobs for September 2019 increased by 29.5% when compared with September 2018 yet decreased by 29% when compared with September 2017 yet decreased by 67.4% when compared with August 2019.

Tools & Other jobs for September 2019 decreased by 16.4% when compared with September 2018 and decreased by 10.2% when compared with September 2017 and decreased by 27.1% when compared with August 2019.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (83.88%) with Course Management (16.12%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were nine Urgent jobs during September 2019. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
one of Blackboard Wiki/Blog/Journal, two of ePortfolio, six of Turnitin.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
