eLearning Workshops

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 79 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 571 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 5,669 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2019 has catered for 228 Course Coordinators teaching into 330 courses and servicing a total of 37,855 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Grade Centre, Online marking / submission and ePortfolio WIL - Chalk & Wire respectively.

The number of jobs for November 2019 decreased by 33.9% when compared to November 2018 and decreased by 11.4% when compared to November 2017 yet increased by 20.2% when compared to October 2019.

Course Management jobs for November 2019 decreased by 34.2% when compared with November 2018 and decreased by 2.7% when compared with November 2017 yet increased by 41.4% when compared with October 2019.

Tools & Other jobs for November 2019 decreased by 33.4% when compared with November 2018 and decreased by 21.1% when compared with November 2017 and decreased by 8.3% when compared with October 2019.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Course Management (58.12%) with Tools & Other (41.88%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were ten Urgent jobs during November 2019. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
two of Blackboard Access, one of Blackboard Grade Centre, one of Blackboard Groups, three of edX, two of UQ Extend, one of Turnitin.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
