Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Workday to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In March, 11 workshops were conducted with 134 participants attending. This year to date, 49 staff workshops have been run with a total of 578 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 8,559 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2022 has catered for 111 Course Coordinators teaching into 148 courses which constitutes approximately 4.29% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 18,519 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equal to 184. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online marking / submission, Grade Centre and Online quiz / exam. For the month, 38 Course Coordinators were assisted with eLearning related consultations teaching into 40 courses with 5,990 student experiences across 83 appointments.

The number of jobs for March 2022 decreased by 21.9% when compared to March 2021 and decreased by 33.1% when compared to March 2020 and decreased by 58.3% when compared to February 2022.

Course Management jobs for March 2022 decreased by 18.7% when compared with March 2021 yet increased by 26.5% when compared with March 2020 yet decreased by 75.9% when compared with February 2022.

Tools & Other jobs for March 2022 decreased by 23.5% when compared with March 2021 and decreased by 47.2% when compared with March 2020 and decreased by 32.6% when compared with February 2022.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Tools & Other (65.66%) with Course Management (34.34%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During March 2022 there were fifteen (15) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Access (1), Blackboard Groups (1), Blackboard Population (1), Blackboard Tests (4), Course Request (2), Discussion Board/Wiki/Blog/Journal (1), ePortfolio (1), Turnitin (3), Zoom (1).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
