eLearning Workshops

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 60 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 432 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 5530 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Guide Updates

Throughout the year, updates to staff guides on the eLearning website and student guides on the Library website are requested by staff. This year to date, 58 new guides have been created, 123 exisiting guides have been updated and 19 guides have been removed based on requests. In total, 200 guides have been created, updated or removed, with 172 of those being staff guides and 28 being student guides.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2019 has catered for 168 Course Coordinators teaching into 251 courses and servicing a total of 29,162 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Grade Centre, Online marking / submission and ePortfolio WIL - Chalk & Wire respectively.

The number of jobs for July 2019 increased by 16.2% when compared to July 2018 and increased by 5.6% when compared to July 2017 and increased by 23.4% when compared to June 2019.

Course Management jobs for July 2019 increased by 23.1% when compared with July 2018 and increased by 6.3% when compared with July 2017 and increased by 6.3% when compared with June 2019.

Tools & Other jobs for July 2019 increased by 7.9% when compared with July 2018 and increased by 4.8% when compared with July 2017 and increased by 44.2% when compared with June 2019.

The distribution of jobs were slightly in favour of Course Management (54.95%) with Tools & Other (45.05%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were thirteen Urgent jobs during July 2019. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
two of Blackboard Access, three of Blackboard Course Content, one of Blackboard Grade Centre, six of Course Request, one of Turnitin.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
