eLearning Training Attendances

Practical, hands-on eLearning workshops are offered through Staff Professional Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. Staff attendances at workshops for January - June 2017 total 453 participants.

Change management

During Semester 1 the eLearning Systems and Support team and ITaLI have been giving joint presentations to all school Teaching and Learning committees. The presentation covered services available from the two groups for staff to enhance their teaching and implement the student strategy. To date presentations have been delivered to 19 schools and attended by a total of 240 staff. One more presentation is booked for July.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2017 has catered for 71 Course Coordinators teaching into 106 courses and servicing a total of 14 886 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are online marking/submission, group management, group peer assessment and ePortfolio respectively.

The number of jobs for June 2017 increased by 11% when compared to June 2016 and increased by 22.2% when compared to June 2015 and increased by 22.3% when compared to May 2017.

Course Management jobs for June 2017 increased by 15.5% when compared with June 2016 and increased by 33.8% when compared with June 2015 and increased by 34.7% when compared with May 2017.

Tools & Other jobs for June 2017 increased by 0.8% when compared with June 2016 yet decreased by 3.6% when compared with June 2015 and decreased by 5.1% when compared with May 2017.

The distribution of jobs were mostly through Course Management (69.04%) with Tools & Other (30.96%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were twenty Urgent jobs during June 2017. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Assignment Tool (4), Blackboard Population (2), Blackboard Tests (1), Blackboard Grade Centre (2), Checkbox (2), Course Request (1), ECP (1), Turnitin (7). All requests were responded to within an hour.
