Workshops run and staff attendances

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered through Staff Development to help staff prepare their courses each semester. This year to date, 133 staff workshops have been run, with a total of 1,266 staff attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 6,986 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service is designed to help staff implement the UQ eLearning tools that most successfully solve common teaching and learning problems. The eLearning Solutions Service to date in 2020 has catered for 363 Course Coordinators teaching into 456 courses and servicing a total of 61,180 student experiences across the university. The top three most common individual tools implemented are Online quiz / exam, Online marking / submission and Virtual Classroom - Zoom.

The number of jobs for September 2020 increased by 52.5% when compared to September 2019 and increased by 46.5% when compared to September 2018 yet decreased by 7.6% when compared to August 2020.

Course Management jobs for September 2020 increased by 67.9% when compared with September 2019 and increased by 77.9% when compared with September 2018 and increased by 9.3% when compared with August 2020.

Tools & Other jobs for September 2020 increased by 47.4% when compared with September 2019 and increased by 36.3% when compared with September 2018 yet decreased by 12.2% when compared with August 2020.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (75.44%) with Course Management (24.56%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

There were twenty Urgent jobs during September 2020. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
two of Adaptive Release, one of Blackboard Access, one of Blackboard Assignment Tool, two of Blackboard Course Content, one of Blackboard Grade Centre, four of Blackboard Tests, two of Blackboard Wiki/Blog/Journal, one of Survey, one of Echo360, one of Kaltura, four of Turnitin.

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
