Learn.UQ Grade Centre Online Workshop
1. Introduction
This self-paced, online workshop has been designed to provide you with a structured programme to develop your knowledge, skills, and confidence in creating and managing the Grade Centre in Learn.UQ (Blackboard).
Topics should be completed in sequence as the course has been designed to build on knowledge and skills gained in the previous topics.
The Grade Centre course will provide an overview on Grade Centre. Participants will learn how to:
- create different grade column types, create categories, and create a grade schema,
- enter results, upload results from auto-marked paper based MCQ test or exam,
- mark non-submission assignments using a rubric,
- calculate final grades and upload final grades to SI-net.
The process
- Before starting the course, submit the Request Form to order a Grade Centre course.
- Watch the videos and complete the tasks in your Staging course.
- Upon completion, send an email to elearningadvisers@uq.edu.au. We will assess your work, provide you with additional assistance if required and record course completion through Staff Development.
Required resources
- Time: Schedule approximately 2 hours to complete this online course, however, if you are familiar with Learn.UQ, then you may complete it in less time. You can also complete the workshop over an extended period of time and resume where you last stopped.
- Technological resources: A computer preferably with 2 screens, earphones for listening to the videos,
- Online resources: A sample spreadsheet for the Inspera Exam Results upload is required for one activity. These will be available to download on the required page.
