Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In March, 4 workshops were conducted with 55 participants attending. This year to date, 24 staff workshops have been run with a total of 392 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 11,790 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In March, eLearning advisers provided 60 appointments to help courses adopt eLearning technology. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2024 have catered for 127 Course Coordinators teaching into 148 courses which constitute approximately 4.1% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 16,858 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 189. The top three most common individual tools implemented are InsperaGrade Centre, and Turnitin.

The number of jobs for March 2024 decreased by 12.5% when compared to March 2023 and decreased by 32.4% when compared to March 2022 and decreased by 47.7% when compared to February 2024.

Course Management jobs for March 2024 decreased by 33.7% when compared with March 2023 and decreased by 63.1% when compared with March 2022 and decreased by 72.9% when compared with February 2024.

Tools & Other jobs for March 2024 decreased by 5.6% when compared with March 2023 and decreased by 16.7% when compared with March 2022 and decreased by 33.6% when compared with February 2024.

The majority of jobs were distributed through Tools & Other (81.43%) with Course Management (18.57%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During March 2024 there were eighteen (18) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Assignment Tool (1), Blackboard Grade Centre (6), Blackboard Population (1), Echo360 (3), Inspera (3), Ed Discussion (1), Turnitin (3).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
