Workshops run and staff attendance

Practical, hands-on workshops in teaching and learning technologies are offered to help staff prepare their courses each semester. In June, 6 workshops were conducted with 64 participants attending. This year to date, 34 staff workshops have been run with a total of 552 attendances. Since 2012, there has been a total of 11,950 staff workshop attendances.

eLearning Adviser Consultations

In June, eLearning advisers provided 42 appointments to help courses adopt eLearning technology. The eLearning Adviser Consultations to date in 2024 have catered for 368 Course Coordinators teaching into 440 courses which constitute approximately 11.8% of all courses in the university and servicing a total of 56,080 student experiences across the university. In total, the number of appointments equals 273. The top three most common individual tools implemented are InsperaGrade Centre, and Turnitin.

The number of jobs for June 2024 decreased by 20.3% when compared to June 2023 and decreased by 14.8% when compared to June 2022 and decreased by 9.2% when compared to May 2024.

Course Management jobs for June 2024 decreased by 24.9% when compared with June 2023 and decreased by 16.4% when compared with June 2022 and decreased by 13.5% when compared with May 2024.

Tools & Other jobs for June 2024 decreased by 11.7% when compared with June 2023 and decreased by 11.9% when compared with June 2022 and decreased by 1.1% when compared with May 2024.

The distribution of jobs were mainly in favour of Course Management (61.8%) with Tools & Other (38.2%).

RESPONSE TO SUPPORT REQUESTS FLAGGED AS URGENT BY CLIENTS

During June 2024 there were eighteen (18) Urgent jobs. A breakdown of the Urgent jobs are as follows.
Blackboard Access (2), Blackboard email (1), Blackboard Grade Centre (3), Blackboard Population (1), Blackboard Tests (1), Blackboard Usage (3), H5P (1), Inspera (4), Turnitin (2).

All Urgent requests were responded to within an hour.
