Control the release of results (Ultra)
Why would I control the release of results?
Controlling the release of results gives staff control over when marks are released to students after the completion of assessments. The releasing of marks for assessments in Ultra courses is called Posting marks. Posting marks for an assessment task can either be done all at once or one at a time. For columns that are created in Gradebook such as calculated columns and the Overall Mark, realease of these results is controlled by the column visibility.
Warning: The feedback release date for Turnitin assignments will automatically post results in Gradebook once the date has passed, it is recommended that the Feedback release date is set to a date after the official release of results for the Semester to ensure that marks are not released automatically to students before you are ready. For instructions on Creating a Turnitin assignment, refer to the Create a Turnitin assignment guide.
Tip: When releasing marks make sure that the assessment or Gradebook column is visible to students as well as posting the mark. This will ensure students can access any and all feedback.
Note: There are additional feedback release options for Tests and Inspera assessments and these should be considered when you are ready to release marks to students.
