What is the Gradebook?

The Blackboard Gradebook provides an area within your Blackboard course to store student marks. Student scores from Assignments, Tests and a range of other Assessment tools are stored in the Gradebook automatically. You may also manually add scores that are not automatically added by Blackboard.

Why would I use the Gradebook?

Gradebook allows you to view marks from assessments completed in your course. When you create an assessment item in Blackboard, a column is automatically created in Gradebook. You may also manually add marks to a Gradebook column. Grade Centre allows you to perform basic calculations such as average marks, total marks and weighed marks as well as allowing for Final Grades to be calculated and sent to SI-net. Students are also able to access all their marks and feedback via Gradebook
