Accommodations (extra time) (Ultra)

What are Accommodations?

Accomodations allow course staff to set additional working time for individual students across all timed Ultra assessments.

Why would I use Accommodations?

Accomodations can be used to provide students with additional working time for timed assessments as outlined in their Student Access Plan (SAP). An accomodation can be set once for a student and will then automatically be applied to all timed Ultra assessments.

Add accommodations to a student

Select Gradebook from the navigation bar.
Select Students from the Gradebook navigation bar.
Click on the Search textbox, enter the student's first name, last name, student ID or username.
Click on the elipses (3 dots) button.
Select Accommodations from the drop-down list.
Check the Time limit accommodation checkbox.
Select the Custom percentage radio button.

Click on the Set the extra time percentage textbox, enter the percentage of extra time.
Tip: The following table shows the additional time required as a percentage of an hour for accommodations.

5 minutes per hour	9%
10 minutes per hour	17%
15 minutes per hour	25%
20 minutes per hour	34%
25 minutes per hour	42%
30 minutes per hour	50%

Click on the Save button.
Click on the Add button to confirm time limit accommodations to all assessments (including previously submitted work).
A purple flag will be displayed next to the student's name to indicate they have an accommodation.

Edit accommodations for a student

Select Gradebook from the navigation bar.
Select Students from the Gradebook navigation bar.
Click on the Search textbox, enter the student's first name, last name, student ID or username.
Click on the elipses (3 dots) button.
Select Accommodations from the drop-down list.

Click on the Set the extra time percentage textbox, update the percentage of extra time.

Click on the Save button.
Click on the Change button to confirm the change of time limit accommodations to all assessments (including previously submitted work).
