Course template (Ultra)
The Ultra course template incorporates items that course instructors are required to include to meet Minimum Presence requirements and to ensure there is consistency across Learn.UQ courses.
As per the 3.80.08 eLearning policy, “Staff should consider the best practice guidelines made available by the Institute of Teaching and Learning Innovation on the UQ eLearning website.” This guide provides teaching staff with advice on how to implement a consistent course site design and structure across all courses using the Ultra course template.

4. Content: Assessment
Assessment folder (strongly recommended)
It is strongly recommended that you include the Assessment folder which should contain an Assessment Summary document and sub-folders for each assessment item with the submission link, technical submission instructions, exemplars and other assessment information.
If preferred, you can make the Assessment folder a Learning Module that allows you to use an icon. For step-by-step instructions, refer to the Create learning module (Ultra) and Icons and document banners (Ultra) guides.
Assessment Summary document (recommended)
Your course template will include a template Assessment Summary document with a table which should provide information from the Course Profile about all assessment items.
We recommend you update the information in the template table according to Course Profile and make the document visible to students. For step-by-step instructions, refer to the Create a document (Ultra) guide.
Assessment sub-folders (strongly recommended)
We strongly recommend you create a sub-folder for each assessment item or assessment sequence. For step-by-step instructions, refer to the Create a folder (Ultra) guide.
Within each sub-folder you should include in this order:
- the submission link
- technical submission instructions
- student assessment instructions
- exemplars
- other assessment information.
