12. Images

Images can be used as stimulus for weekly topics, as well as a learning resource. Blackboard will not change the image height in proportion with the width automatically. You will need to divide the width and height by the same number (i.e. divide by 2) so the images are in proportion and not skewed.

Task to complete

Insert an image

  1. From the Course Menu, select Learning Resources.
  2. Click on the Week 3 - Saturn folder to open it.
  3. Hover over Build Content and select Image from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter "Saturn Rings"​ in the Name textbox. 
  5. Right-click on this Saturn rings.jpg link and select Save Link As... from the drop-down list to save the file to your computer.
  6. In Long description enter image attribution View of Earth from Saturn" by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is licensed under CC BY 2.0.
  7. Located next to Find File, click on the Browse My Computer button.
  8. Browse your computer and select the Saturn rings.jpg file you just downloaded.
  9. Enter "Saturn rings" in the ALT Text textbox.
  10. For Open in New Window, select No
  11. For Permit Users to View this Content, select Yes.
  12. Click on the Submit button.
