9. Course Help

Course Help Overview

This is the first place that students will go to find help. Instead of duplicating content, provide references to your course's ECP and links to School, Faculty and UQ resources. It should ensure consistency of communication and answer a wide range of common student questions.

Add an Item

Task to complete

Add a link to the UQ Student Support Referral Chart

  1. From the Course Menu, select Course Help.
  2. Hover over Build Content and select Item from the drop-down list.
  3. Enter "UQ Student Support Referral Chart"​ in the Name textbox. 
  4. Enter "UQ provides a range of services to support students, click here to access the UQ Student Support Referral Chart." in the Text textbox.
  5. Click and drag to highlight the "click here" text.
  6. Click on the Insert/ Edit Image button insert button in the text editor.
  7. Enter "https://employability.uq.edu.au//files/66233/Student%20Support%20Referral%20Chart%202018.pdf" in the Link Path textbox.
  8. For Target, select Open in New Window (_blank) from the drop-down list.
  9. Enter "UQ Student Support Referral Chart" in the Title textbox.
  10. Click on the Insert button.
  11. For Permit Users to View this Content, select Yes.
  12. Click on the Submit button.

Add information about supplementary assessment

  1. From the Course Menu, select Course Help.
  2. Hover over Build Content and select Item from the drop-down list.
  3. Enter "Supplementary Assessment"​ in the Name textbox. 
  4. Enter "Information about Supplementary Assessment is contained within 'Section 5.4 Other Assessment Information' of the Electronic Course Profile." in the Text textbox.

Note: The location of information about supplementary assessment may vary between schools and faculties.

  1. For Permit Users to View this Content, select Yes.
  2. Click on the Submit button.
