Overview

A method to control the release of results to students can be done by hiding the required assessment column in the Grade Centre.

Note: You need to carefully set both the individual tool settings and the Grade Centre column setting Hide from Students (on/off). Refer to the Turnitin, Blackboard Assignments and Tests guides for step-by-step instructions.

Hiding the Grade Centre column

  1. From the Control Panel select Grade Centre > Full Grade Centre.

  1. Repeat the above step to unhide the column so students can view their marks through My Grades when the marking is complete.

Change external grade column

Once the "Set as External Grade" setting has been applied to a column, you are no longer able to change the show/hide to students setting. To fix this issue, you can set another column as the external grade, hide the total column and then set it as external grade again.

  1. Locate the column that has been set as external grade which will be incidcated by a green tick.
