Search Gradebook (Ultra)

Why would I use the search function in Gradebook?

The search function in Gradebook allows instructors to search for and isolate the view for individual students. The Gradebook search can be conducted with the following search options:

First name
Last name
Username
Student ID
Submission receipt number

Gradebook also has filtering options available, for instructions on using the Gradebook filters, refer to the Gradebook filters guide.

Search by name, username, ID

Select Gradebook from the navigation bar.
Select Marks from the Gradebook navigation bar.
Click on the Search gradebook textbox.
Enter one of the following search terms into the Search Gradebook textbox:
- First name
- Last name
- Username
- Student ID

Note: As soon as you start typing the search function will start to present matches in a drop-down list below the Search Gradebook textbox, the more you type the more refined the search will become.

Once the desired student is located click on their name in the drop-down list.
Gradebook will be filtered to the selected student.
To cancel the search, click on the X in the Search Gradebook textbox.

Search Submission receipt number

Tip: Submission receipt ID's are provided to students when they submit Ultra Tests and Assignments. Staff can check Submission receipt numbers to confirm their accuracy.

Select Gradebook from the navigation bar.
Select Marks from the Gradebook navigation bar.
Click on the Search by submission receipt number button.
Click on the Search by submission receipt number textbox, enter the submission receipt number provided by student. e.g. d61a10b892f34e0eafad265a14a4b68a
If a submission is found the information of the assessment will be displayed. Click on the assessment information to access the submission.
