Transfer marks from ePortfolio to Gradebook (Ultra)

Why would I transfer marks from ePortfolio to Gradebook?

Due to the way in which the ePortfolio integrates with Learn.UQ it may become necessary to manually transfer results from ePortfolio to Gradebook.

If ePortfolio marks are to be held back from students then you will need to do a manual transfer of marks into Gradebook due to marks being auto posted when sending them directly back from the ePortfolio.

  1. Create a column in Gradebook for the ePortfolio results
  2. Download Gradebook
  3. Locate results for ePortfolio assessment
  1. Prepare mark spreadsheet
  2. Upload spreadsheet to Gradebook

2. Download Gradebook

  1. Select Gradebook from the navigation bar.
  2. Select Marks from the Gradebook navigation bar.
  3. Click on the Download Gradebook button.

  4. Select the Full Gradebook radio button.
  5. Either check the Select all items checkbox or check an individual column checkbox.
    Tip: Select the column that you setup for your ePortfolio marks.

  6. Either select the Tab-separated File (.xls) or the Comma Separated Values (.csv) radio button.
    Note: Some MAC users can experience difficulties with Comma Separated Values (.csv) files.
  7. Select the My Device radio button.
  8. Click on the Download button.

  9. File will automatically download. The file name will be in the following format: gc_Full course code_columns_date-time or gc_Full course code_fullgc_date-time. e.g. gc_ELRN0739_7460_00021_columns_2025-04-09-09-18-12
    Tip: The downloaded file will generally be saved by your device to the Downloads folder.
  10. Open this file and keep it open for later.
